Wat hield het Verdrag van Allahabad in?
In 1765 lukte het de East India Company zelfs om de Mogolvorst te dwingen het Verdrag van Allahabad te ondertekenen. In dit verdrag stond dat de belasting die werd geïnd in gebieden die door de Britten waren veroverd, niet aan de Mogolvorst maar aan de East India Company betaald zou worden.
