Hoe schrijf je LP?
Een langspeelplaat of vinylplaat, vaak afgekort tot lp of elpee, is een grammofoonplaat met een microgroef, gemaakt van vinyl en met een diameter van 30 cm (12 inch) die ruimte biedt voor maximaal 30 minuten muziek. De afkorting lp staat voor long play.

Hoeveel minuten passen er op een LP?
Een LP kan maar zo’n 40 tot 50 minuten aan muziek afspelen, dus reden genoeg voor een artiest om een album precies zolang te laten duren. Zelfs toen de CD’s kwamen, die 60 tot 70 minuten aan muziek kunnen afspelen, bleef dit de standaard.
Hoe noem je een plaat?
Langspeelplaat. Zie langspeelplaat voor het hoofdartikel over dit onderwerp. De langspeelplaat (ook wel lp of album), werd officieel geïntroduceerd in 1948 in de Verenigde Staten en werd gemaakt van vinyl. Vanaf het begin waren er twee formaten in de handel: 30 en 25 cm (12 en 10″).
Hoe groot is een EP?
De afkorting EP staat voor Extended Play. Dat betekent dat zo’n release meer tracks bevat dan een single (waar vaak 2 à 3 nummers op staan), maar te weinig om een album (of LP) genoemd te worden.
