Wat houd PMT therapie in?
Psychomotorische therapie (PMT) is een behandeling bij psychische klachten. Door lichamelijke oefeningen te doen, leert u anders om te gaan met uw klachten. Klachten zoals somberheid, angst, onzekerheid tegenover anderen en spanningen hebben ook een lichamelijke kant.
Wat kan je met PMT?
Van zwemmen tot atletiek en van turnen tot klimmen: je beweegt zelf volop, zowel binnen als buiten. Je leert spelvormen kennen en allerlei soorten sport, beweegstijlen en lichaamsgerichte activiteiten, zoals yoga. Je ervaart zo ook goed hoe je eigen lijf werkt en functioneert. Deze kennis zet je in tijdens je stages.
Hoe lang duurt PMT therapie?
De duur van de therapie is sterk afhankelijk van de hulpvraag. In het algemeen kan de therapie binnen een half schooljaar worden afgerond. De therapie wordt wekelijks gegeven en duurt een uur. Naast de individuele sessie met het kind of de jongere vinden er ook oudergesprekken plaats.
Waar valt PMT onder?
Psychomotorische therapie (PMT) valt onder alternatieve psychologische zorg of onder alternatieve geneeswijzen. Behandelingen bij een Psychomotorisch therapeut worden niet vergoed vanuit de basisverzekering.
Waarom werkt creatieve therapie?
Door creatief bezig te zijn worden onbewuste gevoelens en gedachten op speelse wijze geuit. Dit bevordert de heling. Vaak wordt dit ingezet bij kinderen of volwassenen die zich verbaal moeilijk kunnen uiten of het moeilijk vinden hun emoties te verwoorden.
